SPEAKER:
Penny Paucha, M.A.
Certified Neuroleadership Coach,
Principal and Founder, Instincts at Work Inc.
Penny began her career as a mental health counsellor in a community health centre and became curious about the impact of team dynamics on patient care. Working alongside nurse practitioners, physicians, and allied health professionals sparked her passion for helping healthcare teams work better—together.
Today, as Founder and Principal of Instincts at Work, Penny partners with healthcare leaders and interprofessional teams across Canada to strengthen collaboration, leadership capacity, and systems thinking. Her work is practical, evidence-informed, and grounded in the realities of frontline care—supporting clinicians as they navigate growing complexity, scope optimization, and the pressures facing primary care in Ontario. Instincts at Work programs are accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Canadian College of Health Leaders, and in 2022 the company was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 10 Leadership Development Companies.
Penny is especially passionate about supporting nurse practitioners to be effective leaders and change agents within evolving models of care. Outside of work, you’ll find her on the tennis court, creating encaustic art, or soaking up bcommunity vibes at the Hillside Festival in Guelph.
