Drawing on recent research and practice experience, this presentation explores how nurse practitioners can lead and strengthen collaborative relationships with physicians to enhance care quality and team effectiveness in long-term care homes.

Dr. Lynn Haslam-Larmer holds a PhD in Aging and Health and brings her experience in supporting the work of NPs in long-term care homes. Currently, she works at a LTC home in a rural community. Lynn also serves as Professor at George Brown College, and an adjunct faculty member at both the University of Toronto and Queen’s University, where she supports graduate education and research in aging, health policy, and clinical practice. Her work is grounded in a commitment to improving the quality of life for older adults through education, research, and interprofessional collaboration.
