Course Description:
This course is a refresher on advanced health assessment for Nurse Practitioners and students aiming to enhance their adult assessment skills. Developed by experts in Nurse Practitioner Practice & Education, it covers practicing sensitive assessments considering culture, lived experiences, gender identity, sexuality, and personal expression.
Learners will use valid techniques, differentiate between normal and abnormal findings, determine the necessity of focused or comprehensive assessments, and identify urgent red flags.
Prerequisites include being a registered Nurse Practitioner or a current NP student.
Students must fully complete the online portion of the course prior to attending the lab session.
