    Mental Health 4 for Nurse Practitioners

    This 8-week online course explores the nurse practitioner's role in mental health and addiction care. Topics include substance-related and addictive disorders, such as stimulants, benzodiazepines, opioids, alcohol, cannabis, feeding and eating disorders, and sleep/wake disorders, across the lifespan. Using an interactive and case-based approach, the course emphasizes critical thinking and clinical reasoning. Clinical experts cover advanced health assessment, differential diagnoses, relevant pathophysiology, red flags, triage, diagnostic tests, interventions, treatments, consultation, referrals, and transition of care strategies.
