Nursing Education 2: Design, Development & Delivery January 13 - March 23, 2025
This 10-week online course focuses on the practical application of theory and evidence on the design, delivery and facilitation of nursing education in the practice setting.
Course topics will include: the development of learning needs assessments for individuals and groups; creation of learner-centered goals and objectives; incorporation of diverse approaches and techniques for educational program design and delivery; and consideration of practical and operational needs for delivery of educational programs.
Leadership & Management 2: Managing People January 13 - February 23, 2025
This 6-week online course focuses on the practical application of theory and evidence for effectively leading and/or managing clinical teams' human resources. It is designed to meet the needs of those starting careers in/or aspiring towards leadership positions in healthcare.
Course topics will include: team effectiveness, team diversity, & communication; labour force influences & implications for management of clinical teams (e.g. policies, legislation, unionization, trends & forecasting); strategies for recruitment, hiring, retaining & developing people; and managing difficult performance situations.
